The only problem is, human actions are really screwing everything up. Its habitats are heavily impacted by overfishing, plastic pollution, and climate change. Ever heard of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch? It's a giant, floating mass of plastic waste and it serves as a stark reminder to all of us about what our waste is doing to marine life.

The ocean and all it contains are essential to life on earth, but the entire ecosystem is in trouble. Fortunately we can change this. We can turn things around by using less plastic, eating more thoughtfully about our seafood and support conservation efforts.
